Problem

Client's challenge

Client was selling a service that was quite difficult to grasp as domain expert without knowledge of actual capabilities of document processing capabilities.

Business goal

Client was engaging at sales but didn't know how to describe the solution without demo.

Solution

Technical approach

I developed a proof of concept for processing sample input documents to example report. The reason was two sided: 1) test that the technology works for this use case and learn about limitations/challenges 2) create a demo video that can be used as sales material in calls with domain experts

Results

Challenges overcome

I delivered a working video without the need of developing actual working application. This was highly appreciated by the early sales team.

Outcomes

The actual project took less than a week with all the iterations. I was the solo developer working on this at the time and then handed over the development to full time developers.
